EcoVadis is a company sustainability rating based on a methodology for the analysis and evaluation of sector-specific policies, procedures, commitments, activities, projects and performance data.

The rating is carried out on 4 macro areas of sustainability divided into 21 aspects considered in the EcoVadis assessment.

The 4 macro areas are: environment, work and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

EcoVadis is one of the most trusted ratings in the world in corporate sustainability assessments, intelligence and collaborative tools for improving the performance of global supply chains.

Supported by a technology platform and a global team of experts, EcoVadis’ easy-to-use and actionable sustainability factsheets provide a detailed view of environmental, social and ethical risks across 198 purchasing categories and 155 countries.

Rating Ecovadis

November 15, 2021 – Olbia – Generale Conserve SpA, an Italian company specializing in canned fish, with the ASDOMAR brand, continues its path aimed at developing a sustainable value chain and today has obtained the GOLD recognition from EcoVadis for its approach to sustainability . The rating places the company in the top 5% of companies in the fishing sector (processing and conservation of fish, crustaceans and molluscs).

For many years the strategic integration of sustainability in the business has been part of the strategy of Generale Conserve / ASDOMAR, as well as the attitude to share the results obtained with our stakeholders.
Obtaining the GOLD recognition by EcoVadis makes us proud and confirms, by an external entity of international standing, the commitment that we intend to further increase “commented Giovanni Battista Valsecchi, General Manager.

Generale Conserve / ASDOMAR obtained evaluations above the average of the companies in the sector evaluated in all four areas. This result allowed to obtain the GOLD recognition, level of the EcoVadis rating in which only the 5% of companies in the reference sector.
